What is the importance of deadlines? How do high school deadlines reflect or simulate "real world" experience? Give an example of when you met or or didn't meet a deadline that was important.

Deadlines are extremely important because if you don't meet them then you might receive a zero or a huge percentage off and even if you get a 100 percent than you would get a 60 or worse in the grade book and that is what colleges look at. High school deadlines reflect the real world by if you are late to work you get fired, if you are a reporter and don't turn in a report, you get fired, if you work in construction and don't finish a job on time you get fired, if you are a business man and are late to a meeting, then you get fired, if you are an athlete and are late to a game or match, you lose lots ans lots of money at the least. As you can see, it is important to meet deadlines and not procrastinate, lie or stall anything what so ever at anytime in your life. In the eighth grade we had a huge World War II unit and had a month long project worth 250 points, I received a 100 because I turned it in on time and went above and beyond.
